Part 4 of my Israel travel diary - showing Jerusalem's Old City and Mahane Yehuda market. Did you know that the Old City is divided into four quarters? Namely, the Christian, the Muslim, the Jewish and the Armenian quarter. Quite an intriguing cultural diversity, right? Mahane Yehuda Market on the other hand is one of Jerusalem's biggest markets and is also home to many lovely restaurants/cafés (one of them is called Trattoria Haba (on Jaffa street) - seriously recommended!). If you’re planning to visit Jerusalem, I can recommend Abraham hostel - a really nice and homely place!
